Welcome to my professional corner! I’m Donna Escuin, a dedicated and passionate audiovisual translator specializing in English-Japanese/Filipino translations.

With over a decade of experience in the industry, I’ve had the privilege of working on a diverse range of projects, from blockbuster films and popular TV series to educational content and corporate videos. My journey in translation began with a deep love for languages and storytelling, and it has been a rewarding adventure ever since.

Throughout my career, I’ve collaborated with some of the biggest names in entertainment, including Netflix and other major streaming platforms. One of my proudest achievements was working on the Filipino subtitles for “Tokyo Swindlers,” which has been in the top 10 list for Netflix Japan for 11 weeks. Additionally, I’m thrilled to be part of the team working on the highly anticipated anime adaptation of “Dandadan,” set to be one of the standout anime of 2024.

Beyond my professional endeavors, I am an advocate for continuous learning and growth. I hold a Bachelor’s degree from De La Salle College of Saint Benilde, and I am constantly updating my skills to stay ahead in the ever-evolving field of audiovisual translation. My expertise extends to using industry-standard software like Originator, Ooona, and various subtitling tools, ensuring high-quality and precise translations.

When I’m not immersed in translation work, I enjoy exploring new cultures, indulging in my love for music, playing golf, and volunteering for non-profit organizations. I believe in giving back to the community and using my skills to make a positive impact.
